Entry Fee: Pre-registration is highly encouraged.

             

  1) Pre-Register Online Deadline is June 3 at 5:00pm $30.00/Individual (1st event); $10.00/Subsequent events; $30.00/Team (must be registered in individual events)

 

2) Late and Day of Registration Add $20 to initial individual price

             

*Out of State residents add $5.00 to entry fee per participant*

TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE

 

Tournament Structure: 2009-2010 USFA Age Divisions will be used. One round of pools with 100% promotion to direct elimination table

 

-In age group events, if less than five (5) people register for a particular event, they will be scheduled in the next age group competition in that weapon category.

 

Team events will be contested using the relay system. Teams will be composed of three fencers with one alternate. Teams may be mixed (male and female) and must represent a USFA member club. Clubs may field multiple teams in each event. Fencing clubs that are not USFA members will have the opportunity to join at the tournament.  

 

Scoring: All events will be scored electronically.

 

Rules & Membership: The competition will comply with the rules set forth by the International Fencing Federation (FIE) and the United States Fencing Association (USFA). USFA membership is required to all events except the Unsanctioned U19 High School Epee Event. Participants may join the USFA at the tournament. 

 

Equipment Requirements: 

*All equipment must comply with current FIE/USFA rules

 

*Standard safety equipment (underarm plastron, female breast protectors, knee length socks, etc) will be required. Competition uniform is required. No sweat pants will be allowed.

 

*Athletes must have two (2) working weapons and two (2) working body cords for competition.

 

*Prior to the start of competition, athlete's personal equipment must be inspected at Equipment Control.

 

*The athlete is responsible for making certain that inspected personal equipment bears the appropriate equipment inspection mark prior to appearing on strip.

DIRECTIONS TO VENUE

From Interstate 75:

Take Exit 261 Lockheed/Dobbins Hwy 280

(From 75 South take Right at exit)
(From 75 North take Left at exit)

Head west on Hwy 280.

You will pass Lockheed Martin on your left.

Take a Right at Beech Street at the red light (Chattahoochee Tech will be on your right).

Take a Left onto Sandtown St. at the next stop.

Take a Right onto W. Booth St. at the next red light.

Take a Left at the 4-way stop to continue on Booth St.

Continue through the suburb.

The Fair Oaks Recreation Center is a large brick building located next to the softball fields.
