For Team Coordinators: IF you are going to register a
large number of kids, call us first to make the registration process
simpler for you. Basically any number of swimmers over 20 swimmers.

Facilities:
A 25-yard
indoor pool with 10 competitive lanes for finals. There will be 10
lanes for warm-ups. Outdoor patio and surrounding area available for
tents.
Timing:
Electronic in-deck
timing system with 10 lane scoreboard. Back-up button and stop watches
will also be used.
Rules:
2009 United
States Swimming Short Course Rules will govern the conduct of the meet for
preliminaries and finals, as well as the GRPA Athletic Manual where
applicable. (A participant may be disqualified from an event for a
second false start.)
Eligibility:
Open to ALL
GRPA and recreational swimmers statewide.
Entry Level:
Each entrant
my enter four (4) swimming events and two (2) relay events.
Seeding:
Each swimmer
shall be seeded in their designated amount of heats according to the USA
Swimming Guidelines. Finals will be seeded in 10 lanes.
Awards:
Awards will be
given to the top three finishers in the Championship Finals.
T-shirts:
All registered
swimmers receive a Georgia Games Championship T-shirt.
Awards Presentations:
At the
conclusion of events.
Heat Sheets:
Heat sheets
will be on sale prior to (for Saturday's events only) and the day of each
event.
Disqualification
& Protests:
A participant
may be disqualified from an event for failure to swim a stroke correctly,
false start or unsportsmanlike conduct. Any protests or clarification
of decision must come from the participants coach or agency representative only.
No parents shall be allowed to file a protest or approach any official
while the meet is in progress, subject to the disqualification of the
swimmer for the duration of the meet. A written protest may be filed
with the Meet Director, who then has the authority to take it to the State
Athletic Committee, if deemed necessary, or make a ruling on the spot.
Coaches Meeting:
There will be
a Coaches meeting prior to each days events, time is to be announced.
Relay cards must be picked up for changes prior to warm-ups...please be
prompt with corrections before the start of the meet. Relay changes
can be made before timed finals (i.e. - illness or someone not showing up
for a final) with director approval and must be made 30 minutes prior to
beginning of session. Any other changes will be up to the meet
director's discretion.
Please note – the meet will be
run youngest to oldest by event. Awards for top 8 in each event will be
staged after events 10, 20, 32, 42, 52, 64, 74, 86. Unclaimed awards can be picked up by
coaches at the conclusion of awards or at the Georgia Games office in
Marietta from 8:30am-5pm beginning Monday June 21.
AWARDS WILL NOT BE
MAILED.
6&u swimming in the 8&u
butterfly and breaststroke events will receive separate awards.

for 4.2 miles. Turn right onto S Fairground St SE. The pool will be on your
left.

I-75 South
Take Exit 263 S Marietta Pkwy/GA-120 Loop. Turn
right at GA120-Loop. Go about 1.8 miles. Turn left onto S Fairground St SE.
The pool will be on your right.
