SPORT SPECIFIC INFORMATION

 

Date: Friday/Saturday - July 16-17, 2010

Site: Marietta High School

Entry Fee: 1) Register Online and avoid any late fees OR

               2) $10.00 for first event, $4.00 each additional event; $4 per person for relays 

                                     (Money Order, Cashiers Check or Cash ONLY)

*Out of state residents add $5.00 to entry fee*

 

Entry Deadline: for any TEAMS registering ONLINE, the deadline was Friday, July 9 at 5:00pm.

 

We will accept Day of Registration under the following conditions:

1) Complete paper regsiration form with all of athletes information (MUST BE LEGIBLE)

2) Must be at the registration tent between 7:00-7:30am on Friday, July 16th.

3) Must bring cash or a money order (ABSOLUTELY NO CHECKS OF ANY KIND)

4) ADD Additional $5 late fee PER athlete to registration fee.

5) The day of registration process is open at the discretion of the meet director.

COMPETITION REGULATIONS/FORMAT

 

Divisions: see bottom

·         Sub-Bantam (8-U), Bantam (10-U), Midget (11-12), Youth (13-14), Intermediate (15-16), Young Men/Women (17-18).

·         Divisions are determined by your year of birth, according to USATF Rules.  (Sub-Bantam - 1997 or later; Bantam - 10-U; Midget 11-12; Youth - 13-14; Intermediate - 15-16; Young Men/Women - 17-18)

Eligibility:

·         Meet is sanctioned by USA Track & Field

·         Membership in USA Track & Field is NOT required, but helpful.

·         Age groupings are determined by USATF rules which means the cut off is December 31, 2009 for age determination.

Relays:

There is a separate entry form for relay events.  All relay entry forms must be submitted separately for each relay team.  Team will compete in age group of youngest team member.

 

Rules:

·         As established by USA Track & Field.

·         Participants in the field events must provide their own equipment.  These will be approved for use in competition the day of the meet.

·         Athletes may NOT compete in younger or older age divisions.

·         According to USATF rules, youth athletes in Sub-Bantam, Bantam and Midget categories may only participate in three (3) official events, including relays.  Youth, Intermediate and Young Men/Women may participate in four (4) events, including relays.

Any events over and above these events CAN be competed but will be considered exhibition and non-medal qualifying events.

Schedule:

·         Each day will be conducted on a rolling schedule.  Do not assume times.  Each days running and field events begin at 8:00 a.m. and will run until completion.

·         Depending on the number of entries per age group/event, age groups may be combined.  TOP THREE PLACES place awards will be based on age group.

Payment:

Entry forms MUST be received with payment.  Money Order, Cashiers Check, or Cash ONLY.  

NO Checks will be accepted.

DIRECTIONS TO VENUE

 

Directions from Atlanta:

Take I-75 to exit 265 (SR 120 Loop / N. Marietta Pkwy).  Turn left at top of ramp onto SR-120 Loop (N. Marietta Pkwy. NE).  Turn right (west) onto SR-120 (Whitlock Ave. NW).  Marietta High School is approximately 3 miles on the left.
